EFFECT OF DRUGS AND BEHAVIOR EXHIBITED BY DRUG ADDICT AND PREVENTION OF DRUG ABUSE

Hello and welcome again, you know In our last post we talk about the definition of drug abuse and the causes and what people think actually that make them involved in drug abuse we also talked about drug trafficking that is a general worldwide illegal trading involving the cultivation, manufacture, distribution and savings of substance and drugs which are identified under drug prohibition laws.

I think this post will be very useful for many youth in our society of today, because what has become something important among the youth now is drug abuse and people use it excessively or use it in an un prescribed manner, in order to work hard or to give inspiration or to bring out the moral or to do one or two things of which is not meant to be, putting one's strength in drug and believing with drug one can do many thing is evil and a very dangerous thing to the health of every human being because it will get to a stage in life that without it one cannot be able to afford to do that particular thing u can do again.

 only if you believe in yourself and stay calm you can always do things without the use of drug and if you are addicted you can also find way to bring yourself back to rehabilitation and help yourself in form is better to refrain from it now than by then when it will have side effect on you,  please do refrain  from drug, now we come to what are the effect of drug and drug abuse or let's talk also about behaviour exhibition by drug addicts.

EFFECT OF DRUGS ABUSE 

Drug abuse often affect a person health while the effect depends on the type of drug the person abuses. Some of the common effect of drug abuse include heart attack, kidney damage and coma.

Besides health effect, there are other type of effect of drug abuse. For example, it can begin to train a person's relationship with his family and friends. A person giving to drug abuse may began to slack off or make mistake at work and in a bit more work days. Drug abuse can have legal and financial implications are some people may spend money needed for food and shelter or drugs or go into depth to get more of the drug to which they are addicted. Some may even go as far as stealing to fund their drug habits.

In summary, symptoms of drug abuse can be seen from three perspective and it is socio-economic effects, health effects of drug abuse or addiction and general effect.

• SOCIO-ECONOMIC EFFECT 

1. A student given to drug abuse may not do well in his studies. This may lead to poor performance in the school and causes truancy
2. Debt is another thing when a drug Addict finds out that he cannot afford to pay for the stimulus, the next available option is to buy on credit. Abuser of alcohol cigarettes and found of this act.
3. Stealing an armed robbery is the last resort for people giving to drug abuse since they are addicted to this. For them to change become impossible, they give way to this terrible act like prostitution, social outcast and fraud.

HEALTH PROBLEMS 

• It can lead to damage of some organs of the body as kidney, liver, eyes and teeth.
• Male or female alcohol abusers can easily contact any of the sexually transmitted diseases for example gonorrhea and syphilis.
•  loss of appetite
• Anxiety
• Weakness of the body
• Depression
• Allergy
• Sleeplessness
• Improper growth

GENERAL EFFECT 

• Loss of employment
• Political social violence 
• lack of motivation
• Crime, depression and allergies

BEHAVIOR EXHIBITED BY DRUG ADDICTS

1. VIOLENCE : violence is defined by world health organisation as the intentional use of physical force of power, threaten or actual, against oneself, another person, or against the group or community that either results in or as a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, development or deprivation. This definition has associate intentional act with the committing of the act itself, irrespective of the outcome. This is an extreme form of aggression, such as assault, rape or murder. Violence has many courses, including frustration, exposure to violent media, violence in the whole neighborhood and a tendency to see other people's action as hostile even when they are not.
2. DEPRESSION : depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activities that can affect a person's thoughts, behaviour, feelings and physical well-being. Depressed people may feel sad, and shows, empty, i close, employees, worthless, guilty, irritable, or restless. They may lose interest in activities that were once pleasurable and the experience loss of appetite or overreacting, have problem concentrating, remembering details, or making decisions, and may contemplate or attempt suicide. Insomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue, loss of energy, or ashes, pain or digestive problem that are resistant to treatment may be present.
3. ALLERGY : an allergy is a reaction of your immune system to something that does not bother most other people. People who have allergies often as sensitive to more than one thing. Substances that often cause reaction among them is drug abuse.

PREVENTION OF DRUG ABUSE 

• Through enlightenment.
• Through banning of expired imported drugs
• Through seizing of substandard drugs entering the country
• Punishment should be meted out to all drug offenders
• All drugs in the country should be controlled
• Music and activities that expose youth to drug abuse should be checked
